Logistics Manager Opportunity at The Compleat Food Group

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Manager to join our Supply Chain team at The Compleat Food Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the storage, picking, and distribution of finished goods, ensuring timely delivery and meeting KPI targets within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the despatch and warehouse operation to support business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Analyse and implement improvements to KPI metrics, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Manage time and resources across production facilities, ensuring seamless performance and minimal disruption.
  • Ensure stock accuracy and reconciliation for on and off-site locations, maintaining high levels of inventory control.
  • Coordinate transport and cold storage providers to meet business needs, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Liaise with Planning teams to manage requirements, including labour, equipment, and freeze capacity.
  • Manage relationships with third-party logistic providers, dealing with day-to-day escalations, longer-term demand forecasting, and performance.
  • Order, schedule, and stock returnable equipment, considering peak season and freezer program requirements.
  • Investigate delivery discrepancies and implement debit note reduction plans.
  • Control budgeted spend and deviation forecasts, identifying opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Manage overtime and implement reduction plans to optimize resource allocation.
  • Motivate and train the workforce, identifying talent for development and growth.
  • Promote GMP and Health and Safety across the site, ensuring integrity and food safety.
  • Maintain full traceability of finished goods and ensure audit readiness at all times.
  • Deputise for the Supply Chain Manager during periods of absence and annual leave.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in logistics management, supply chain, warehouse, and transport.
  • FMCG background with a focus on budget control and cost reduction.
