Role Overview:
As the Day Nursery Room Leader - Third In Charge, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Nursery Manager and leading our team of educators at The Big Top Nursery. Your leadership will help create a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages both child development and team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and inspire a team of educators, fostering a positive and effective working environment, and promoting a culture of excellence in early years education.
  • Design and implement interactive activities that cater to the holistic development of children, promoting social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.
  • Work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure compliance with OFSTED standards and health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe and stimulating environment for children.
  • Monitor and assess children's progress, providing constructive feedback to parents and caregivers, and supporting their child's development through regular updates and progress reports.
  • Build strong relationships with parents by maintaining open communication channels, providing regular updates, and collaborating with them to support their child's development.
  • Support the training and development of new staff members, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Oversee the maintenance of a clean, safe, and well-organized environment, ensuring that the nursery meets the highest standards of health and safety.

Requirements:
  • Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years Education (or equivalent).
  • Substantial experience working in a nursery or early years setting, with a proven track record of leadership and team management.
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and its implementation in the nursery setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
  • A passion for providing high-quality care and education to young children, with a commitment to their development and well-being.
