Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Edgware. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs, ensuring their individual needs are met effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist classroom teachers in planning and delivering differentiated lessons to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to ongoing assessments to track student progress and inform future interventions.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant in Key Stage 1.
  • Strong understanding of various SEN conditions and strategies to support students effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Flexibility, patience, and a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of children with SEN.
