About the Role: Learning Support Assistant for Students with Special Needs

We require an exceptional Learning Support Assistant to join our team and support students with special needs, in collaboration with Leicester City Council. This role entails delivering high-standard education to students aged 6-18 with MLD, ASD, and ADHD needs, while fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, empathy, and a calm demeanor to effectively support students from Key Stage 1 (KS1) to Key Stage 5 (KS5) in a 1:1 setting.

  • Essential Qualifications: QTS, experience working with MLD, ASD, and ADHD
  • Effective Communication: Building strong relationships with students and colleagues
  • Safeguarding Knowledge: Understanding of child and adult protection guidelines
  • Support Techniques: Providing tailored support to students in education
