Job Details

We are seeking an Intermediate Designer to join our London office, working on various phases of small and complex projects. The successful candidate will assist with rendered plans, section elevations, furnishing layouts, color and material boards, drawing presentations, and product resourcing.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop innovative design concepts that meet client goals and project requirements.
  2. Manage project schedules and budgets, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
  3. Select and specify interior architectural materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and artwork.
  4. Deliver design concepts, conduct programming efforts, and prepare 2D and 3D presentation drawings.
  5. Support client presentations and prepare documents during schematic design and design development phases.
  6. Solicit bids, assist with subcontracting, and implement design intent.
  7. Communicate with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to ensure project requirements are met.
  8. Implement Wimberly Interiors standards and ensure technical regulations and code compliance.
  9. Mentor and direct less experienced staff, as needed.
  10. Participate in team meetings to align project deliverables with design intent.
  11. Incorporate Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
  2. Environmental accreditation desired.
  3. 4+ years of experience in interior design-related projects.
  4. Proficient technical expertise in MS Office, Adobe Suite, DesignSmart, AutoCAD, Sketchup, and other design tools.
  5. Strong graphic design concepts, hand-sketching, and rendering skills.
  6. Ability to meet deadlines, work effectively in a team environment, and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
