Senior Lecturer in Child Development

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Lecturer in Child Development to join our team at Birkbeck University of London.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation, teaching, administration, and assessment of the Level 5 module on Psychological and Developmental Issues in Childhood from the BA Psychology for Education programme.

The module explores the potential impact of a range of developmental disorders, psychological disorders, and adverse experiences on children's lives and on their education.

We are looking for a committed professional with a degree in Psychology, a good understanding of childhood experience and mental health, and relevant teaching experience working with adult students within the HE sector.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrably effective and engaging communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, as well as the ability to work both as part of a team and independently as appropriate.

Also desirable are postgraduate degrees in a relevant area, professional experience in Educational/Developmental/Clinical Psychology, and/or working with children in a mental health context, and a teaching qualification.
