Job Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at a local Primary School in the Sunderland area.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting a SEND pupil on a full-time basis within the classroom, promoting development and learning through engaging activities and fostering a positive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing individualized support to a SEND pupil to ensure their educational needs are met
  • Working collaboratively with the class teacher to develop and implement tailored lesson plans
  • Encouraging student engagement and participation in learning activities
  • Maintaining accurate records of student progress and achievements
  • Contributing to a supportive and inclusive classroom environment

Requirements

  • Degree in Education or related field (not specified)
  • L2 or L3 TA qualification (ideally held, but willing to assist with Level 2 qualification)
  • Nurturing personality with ability to identify behavioral challenges
  • DBS on update service (willingness to apply required)
  • Initiative-taking and commitment to delivering high-quality education

Salary and Benefits
