Role Overview

A Transportation Systems Analyst is required to work with Girling Jones Ltd, a leading engineering consultancy in Bristol. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on diverse transport planning projects, providing innovative solutions to modern transportation challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conducting comprehensive transport assessments and travel plans to support planning applications.
  2. Analyzing data, statistics, and usage patterns to inform sustainable transport strategies.
  3. Developing creative solutions for cycling and pedestrian infrastructure, prioritizing user experience and safety.
  4. Utilizing transport modeling tools to simulate and optimize systems, ensuring efficient and effective outcomes.
  5. Liaising with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions, meeting project deadlines and expectations.
Requirements
  1. A degree in transport planning, geography, civil engineering, or a related field, demonstrating a strong understanding of transportation principles.
  2. At least one year of experience in transport planning or a related field, showcasing expertise in transport assessment and strategy development.
  3. Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, TRICS, or Junctions 10, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new tools.
  4. Demonstrated passion for sustainable and innovative transport solutions, with a commitment to delivering environmentally friendly and people-focused outcomes.
