Mortgage Case Manager

The Case Manager will be responsible for managing a pipeline of Buy-to-Let and Residential cases, ensuring timely completion and excellent customer service. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with brokers, solicitors, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Set up electronic case files and prepare applications for underwriting or completion.
- Ensure fee payments are processed accurately and promptly.
- Instruct valuations and chase timely inspections, including raising post-valuation queries.
- Process solicitor instructions and review incoming documents to satisfy credit policy/legal conditions.
- Review reports, including FRAs, Damp & Timber, Coal mining, Asbestos, Tree/Arboricultural, and Japanese Knotweed.
- Assist brokers and solicitors with the application process, providing updates and ensuring prompt responses.
- Manage case files and related data, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information.
- Proactively manage the pipeline, chasing outstanding tasks and working closely with underwriting/other departments.
- Maintain positive relationships with brokers, valuers, and solicitors.
- Contribute to team meetings and assist with process improvements and system changes.
- A team player with a resilient approach and proactive attitude.
- Sound judgment and proven experience in dealing with high-volume workflows and prioritization.
- Excellent administration, computer literacy, and communication skills, with a good eye for detail.
- Ability to form strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Understanding of Credit Referencing Agency reports, KYC, AML, and fraud prevention systems.
- Experience in mortgage case management, CeMap qualification, and understanding of legal queries (advantages).
