You will collaborate with various referral sources, including healthcare facilities and legal institutions.
This position offers a remarkable chance to become part of a well-established Neurological Service, working alongside a dedicated team of professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage high-quality patient care, conducting assessments and participating in Care and Treatment Reviews.
- Provide mentorship and supervision to junior team members, fostering their professional growth.
- Oversee the implementation of the Mental Health Act and ensure compliance with clinical policies and standards.
- Engage with external partners to facilitate patient reintegration into the community.
- Chair multidisciplinary team meetings and ensure effective operation of the Care Programme Approach.
- Contribute to the training and development of staff across various disciplines.
- Participate in Clinical Governance initiatives to uphold service quality.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree with MRCPsych or equivalent qualification.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven leadership capabilities and the ability to drive organizational change.
- In-depth understanding of contemporary issues in psychiatry and mental health.
- Experience in a consultant role and management is preferred.
