Are you a recent university graduate with a passion for mental health and neurodiversity? Do you want to build your experience and skills before pursuing a career as an Educational Psychologist?

We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a fantastic SEN school in Salisbury. Our students have a range of special educational needs, including Autism, ADHD, cerebral palsy, and speech and communication challenges. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting these students to reach their full potential.

Your key responsibilities will include working closely with a small group of SEN pupils in the classroom, supporting their learning and emotional needs. You will ensure each child stays on track with their work, meets their milestones, and helps the class teacher to create a fun and engaging learning environment. Personal care, such as toileting and feeding, may also be required.

We offer a unique opportunity for you to gain hands-on experience working with neurodivergent children, learn how to implement individualised support plans and learning strategies, and shadow our psychologist and therapist on-site. This is an excellent chance to develop your skills and knowledge, and take the first step towards a rewarding career as an Educational Psychologist.

To be successful in this role, you will need a university degree in Psychology or a related field, and a C in GCSE Maths and English. Experience with SEN is desirable but not essential.
