Aerospace and Defence Business Development Lead

We're seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to spearhead our growth in the aerospace and defence sector. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building strategic relationships with key stakeholders, and driving our mission forward.
Key Responsibilities- Bid Writing and Strategy: Develop and execute winning bid strategies for grants and contracts, leveraging your expertise in the aerospace and defence industry.
- Commercial Development: Maintain a robust CRM system and foster high-frequency engagement with industry and government stakeholders to test our technology and shape our value proposition.
- Industry Collaboration: Utilize your extensive network to partner Lodestar with strategic companies, driving our goals and objectives forward.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to business and commercial pitfalls, ensuring our continued success.
- Excellent Writing and Communication Skills: Proven ability to craft compelling bids and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Proactivity and Business Acumen: Demonstrated ability to identify and pursue new business growth opportunities, with a strong understanding of the aerospace and defence industry.
- Experience in Winning Non-Dilutive Funding or Commercial Contracts: Proven track record of securing grants and contracts in the aerospace and defence sector.
- Strong Network in the Aerospace and Defence Industry: Established relationships with key stakeholders, including government and commercial customers.
- Familiarity with Government and Commercial Acquisition Processes: In-depth understanding of the acquisition processes and procedures in the aerospace and defence sector.
- Understanding of Relevant Space Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance Hurdles: Familiarity with the legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements in the space industry.
- CRM and Sales Pipeline Management: Proven ability to build, run, and execute a strong CRM system and sales pipeline.
