Trustee Governor

About the Role:

New College Worcester, a unique education provider, seeks a Trustee Governor to join its Residential Care & Safeguarding Committee (RCSC). The successful candidate will support the college in delivering high-quality education in a safe and suitable environment for learners who are blind or vision impaired.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the college in its mission to provide education to young people who are blind or vision impaired.
• Contribute to the Residential Care & Safeguarding Committee, ensuring the safeguarding and wellbeing of learners is paramount.
• Bring expertise in safeguarding young people and delivering high-quality residential care.
• Work collaboratively with the college's senior leaders and governors to shape and support the college's provision.

Requirements:

• Experience in safeguarding young people and delivering high-quality residential care.
• Knowledge of relevant policies and practice.
• Ability to demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
