Paraplanner Role

We are seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join our team at Blakemore Recruitment. As a Paraplanner, you will play a crucial role in supporting our financial planning team by providing high-level technical paraplanning services, including the production of cash flow models and suitability reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse client information and existing investments/policies to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Perform tax calculations and construct suitable solutions for clients in conjunction with our advisers.
  • Write comprehensive suitability reports for cases of varying complexity, ensuring that all relevant information is presented in a clear and concise manner.
  • Run cash flow models for clients to help them achieve their financial goals.
  • Act as a point of contact for technical queries from colleagues and advisers, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Communicate with clients regarding research and report timescales, ensuring that they are informed and up-to-date throughout the process.
  • Attend client meetings as required, providing a professional and supportive presence.
  • Contribute to the training and development of other team members, sharing your expertise and knowledge to help them grow and succeed.
  • Potentially participate in project work to improve our systems and processes, driving continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Lead Pod meetings, facilitating discussion and collaboration among team members.
  • Undertake peer reviews for the paraplanning team, providing constructive feedback and guidance to help colleagues improve their performance.
Requirements
  • Demonstrate a strong technical knowledge and understanding of all financial products, including investments, pensions, and insurance.
  • Hold a minimum of 3 years' experience in a paraplanning role, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Be CII level 4 diploma qualified as a minimum, with a strong commitment to ongoing professional development and Chartered status.
  • Have excellent IT skills, with experience of Curo, FE Analytics, and Voyant being highly advantageous.
  • Display a good attention to detail, ensuring that all work is accurate and of the highest standard.
  • Be a good team player, able to work collaboratively with colleagues and advisers to achieve shared goals.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with a strong ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Be organised and able to manage a busy workload, with a strong focus on delivering results and meeting deadlines.
