Year 3 Teacher Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 3 Teacher to join our team at a 1-form entry primary school in London.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding and experience with the KS2 UK curriculum, and will be given full class responsibility, plenty of support, and ample PPA time throughout the week.

Responsibilities of the Year 3 Teacher:

  • To be directly responsible for the standards the pupils achieve and to ensure that they demonstrate competence equal to their abilities across the Curriculum.
  • Undertake further training and professional development opportunities to keep up to date with best practice, attend staff meetings and INSET days.
  • Provide annual written reports for parents and consult with them at the termly parents/teacher meetings.
  • Contribute to assemblies and such events, including to help organise and participate in educational visits for pupils to enrich the curriculum.
  • Carry out such additional duties as may be reasonably required by the Head of School from time to time.
  • Be responsible for safeguarding, pastoral care, discipline and guidance for the pupils.

What we are looking for:

  • UK QTS - ECT applicants are also encouraged to apply.
  • UK based teaching experience and strong knowledge of the UK curriculum.
  • Passion and experience teaching within KS2.
  • Strong behaviour management skills.

Benefits:

  • 1 academic year contract.
  • Inner London pay: £38 - £50k per annum.
  • Whole class responsibility for Year 3.
  • In class support (Teaching assistants and 1:1 SEN support).
  • Supportive SLT.
  • On job additional training courses.
  • PPA time each week.

Hours: Monday - Friday, term time only.
