SEN Teaching Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join our team at a vibrant primary school in Southwark, specialising in supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).
The School OverviewOur school is an OfSTED rated outstanding special school for pupils aged 2-11 years, who have severe and complex learning differences. We are based in a purpose-built new building in the heart of Peckham in the inner London Borough.
As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment tailored to the unique needs of each student. Your expertise will help develop individualised learning plans that promote engagement, independence, and social skills.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement personalised educational programs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists and educational psychologists.
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting approaches as necessary.
- Engage with parents and caregivers to support student development at home and in school.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of ASD and SLD.
- Experience working in a primary education setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum depending on experience
