We are looking for a Cabling Engineer - Oxford Position to join our team at Digital Waffle Ltd. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to work on critical infrastructure projects within a secure environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and upgrading of structured data cabling systems, including CAT5e, CAT6, fibre optics, and other related cabling solutions. They will ensure all cabling works are compliant with industry standards and best practices, particularly those related to security and data protection.

We offer a competitive daily rate of £210 and an initial 3-month contract with potential extension. This role requires an experienced engineer to work closely with other professionals and contribute to the delivery of cabling systems in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Job Description:
  • Support critical infrastructure projects within a secure environment.
  • Install, maintain, and upgrade structured data cabling systems.
  • Ensure all cabling works meet industry standards and best practices.
  • Provide troubleshooting support for data cabling issues.
  • Accurately document all installations and maintenance work.
  • Work closely with other engineers and site project managers.
  • Adhere to security protocols and ensure confidentiality of sensitive data.

Requirements:

  • SC Clearance: Current SC or DV Clearance is mandatory.
  • Cabling Experience: Proven experience in installing and maintaining data cabling systems.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with structured cabling standards and network infrastructure.
  • Health & Safety: Experience working to health and safety regulations.
