We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Nicholas Associates Group Limited. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in overseeing a large residential groundworks project, with a focus on ensuring the successful commercial performance of the project.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and oversee the preparation of monthly applications for payment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Monitor project costs, track expenditures, and prepare cost reports in line with valuation processes.
- Collaborate with the production team to compile monthly forecasts, ensuring the project stays on track.
- Control costs in accordance with budget, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving measures.
- Procure subcontractor and supplier packages, negotiate contracts, and manage subcontractor accounts.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, quality, and compliance with contractual requirements.
- Ensure the project team has access to the latest information, including drawings and tender allowances.
- Maintain organized project records, including contracts, invoices, and correspondence.
- Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors or team members as required.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with the client.
- Experience in residential or groundworks construction.
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
- Proficiency in construction software.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage a large project, and meet deadlines.
- Professional accreditation as a Quantity Surveyor (MRICS, MCIOB, or equivalent) is preferred.
