Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Digital Operations Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Digital Service Desk, you will provide exceptional support to our 6,000 IT users across East & North Herts NHS Trust sites.

Your primary responsibility will be to record and resolve service desk calls, utilizing your technical expertise and excellent communication skills to deliver outstanding customer service.

You will work closely with our IT staff and third-party maintenance contractors to ensure timely resolution of faults and issues.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Recording and resolving service desk calls in accordance with Service Desk Minimum Data Set requirements.
  2. Performing first-level diagnostic procedures to identify and rectify problems.
  3. Providing telephone advice, guidance, and resolution where possible.
  4. Forwarding service desk calls to appropriate IT staff or third-party support service providers.
  5. Managing and maintaining user accounts, including password administration.
  6. Monitoring progress of fault resolution and invoking escalation procedures as necessary.

Requirements
  • A level passes, BTEC, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Service Desk Operator Training and ITIL Knowledge.

  • Ability to prioritize and filter telephone calls using own initiative.
  • Experience of working on a Service Desk or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
