About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Planner to join our Infrastructure team at Galliford Try. As a Senior Planner, you will play a key role in developing, updating, and managing the construction programme to ensure on-time delivery of our infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in creating a safe working environment and contribute to the development of a robust and realistic construction programme.
- Update the Detailed Design Programme (Pre-Construction Schedule) in collaboration with designers to ensure a schedule that reflects project-wide constraints and risks.
- Review and develop the preferred construction sequence, considering project-wide constraints to confirm the duration in the overall scheme schedule.
- Facilitate construction readiness planning and arrange collaborative planning sessions with clients and the supply chain.
- Cost-load the schedule and generate Earned Value Analysis from the cost-loaded schedule.
- Monthly update and analysis of the schedule and reports, including updates based on the effects of Compensation events or other events affecting the programme.
About You:
We are looking for a passionate and committed individual with a solid track record of planning major civils projects in a highways setting. You will need experience of working in the contracting environment, with the ability to build programmes from scratch and report using P. The ideal candidate will have progressed from a site engineering background, understanding firsthand how jobs are built.
