Job Title: Senior Anatomic Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Anatomic Pathologist to join our team in Harrogate, UK. As a leading contract research organization, we provide comprehensive drug development solutions for a range of industries.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have primary responsibility for reporting and interpreting pathology data from all types of toxicity studies. They will work closely with other scientists and staff to address scientific issues relating to pathology and provide scientific guidance and feedback to technicians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise on all aspects of anatomic and clinical pathology requirements in toxicity studies
  • Supervise necropsies and ensure proper dissection description, sampling, and preservation of tissues
  • Perform microscopic evaluation and interpretation of tissue sections from toxicology studies
  • Evaluate and interpret clinical pathology data from toxicology studies
  • Compile pathology narrative reports of microscopic and gross pathology findings
  • Maintain working relationships with internal and external clients to ensure client satisfaction
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years experience in laboratory animal pathology
  • Demonstrated expertise in evaluating pathology data from acute, subchronic, and chronic rodent toxicology studies
  • Ability to work with other scientists and staff to address scientific issues relating to pathology
  • Ability to provide scientific guidance and feedback to technicians
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills
Education:
  • Veterinary degree or equivalent
  • FRCPath or equivalent qualification
