Job Title: Multiskilled Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Multiskilled Engineer to join our client's successful manufacturing company in Scunthorpe. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing a multi-skilled maintenance service across the site, covering mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building fabrication.

The Role:
  • Provide a multi-skilled maintenance service across the site, covering mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building fabrication.
  • Provide reactive and proactive service as per requirements to all equipment and to carry out modifications and installations when required, ensuring all work is carried out to a high standard and all mechanical and electrical equipment is running to optimum performance.
  • Carry out planned PPM on conventional rotary pulp machinery.
  • Provide technical support/input to projects along with continuously looking to improve equipment efficiencies and cost reduction.
  • Maintain, repair, and calibrate electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation plant, optimising both reliability and maintainability.
  • Complete manual handling tasks as required and make effective use of tools and equipment provided.
Working Hours:

Working hours are Monday to Friday on a weekly rotating shift pattern 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00. Must be flexible as call outs are required and overtime is paid at 1.25 of pay per hour.

Requirements:
  • Experience in planned preventative and reactive maintenance regimes for heavy duty machinery.
  • Knowledge of safe working practices on electrical/mechanical building services.
  • Experience in fault finding, resolving issues, servicing, and maintaining general building fabric work.
  • Positive team player who also has the ability to work alone and use own initiative.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confident, flexible approach to work, with the ability to respond to many different situations that may arise.
  • PLC programming experience desirable but not essential.
