Water Asset Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Water Field Technician to join our team at Shorterm Group. As a Water Field Technician, you will be responsible for a broad spectrum of field-based activities, including trunk and distribution main isolations, asset investigation and validation, operability testing, reservoir outages and mains disinfections, and all associated water quality activities such as flushing and sampling.
Key Responsibilities- Perform field-based activities, including trunk and distribution main isolations, asset investigation and validation, operability testing, reservoir outages and mains disinfections, and all associated water quality activities.
- Work on large diameter trunk main isolations, asset verification and validations.
- Operate EUSR Water Hygiene Valve operations, including CALM Networks.
- Hold NRSWA Operative (Unit 2) certification.
- Be IT proficient, including Office365, GIS mapping tools, PDA/Tablet use, and online reporting software.
- Hold a full, clean UK driving license.
- Minimum 3 years practical, clean water industry field experience.
- First-person lead on trunk main isolations on large diameter mains.
- Experience with district metered area validation, zonal pressure tests, and valve shuts offs and step testing.
- Large diameter trunk main isolations, asset verification and validations.
- EUSR Water Hygiene Valve operations, including CALM Networks.
- NRSWA Operative (Unit 2) certification.
- IT proficient, including Office365, GIS mapping tools, PDA/Tablet use, and online reporting software.
- Full, clean UK driving license.
- Competitive salary: £30,000 - £38,000.
- Overtime paid at time and a half.
- Pension: 4% employer contribution.
- Holiday: 20 days plus UK bank holidays (usually 8 days) plus long service reward.
- Tools and equipment: company utility van with air conditioning, fuel card, and all tolls paid upfront; contract mobile phone and tablet and/or toughbook; all uniform and any PPE required; any tools and equipment deemed necessary to fulfill your role.
- Weekend working: optional weekend work as overtime (time and a half).
