At Structural Engineering Alliance Group, we are seeking a talented Apprentice Civil Engineer to join our growing civils team. This exciting opportunity will see you work on a variety of infrastructure projects, developing your skills and progressing your career as part of a team of innovative engineers and specialists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete an apprenticeship programme of learning and modular work, predominantly in the workplace, with external training courses to complement your learning.
  • Develop knowledge of varying building techniques and materials used.
  • With support, interpret Engineers design briefs and undertake design analysis and compiling reports in compliance with British Standards and Eurocodes.
  • Utilise knowledge and initiative to identify solutions, providing feedback and contributing ideas within the team.
  • Conduct site inspections and gather relevant data to compile comprehensive reports.
  • Maintain records and work folders, ensuring all work is checked appropriately.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external clients, building and maintaining positive relations.
  • Attend internal design review meetings in accordance with company protocols.
  • Work within agreed deadlines, maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • A keen interest in the construction industry, buildings, or water/drains systems.
  • Competence with computers and the ability to learn new software.
  • A problem solver, able to offer solutions to challenges.
  • Able to work and collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Confident, articulate, collaborative, and proactive.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop your skills and career with training support.
  • Good time management and organisational skills to efficiently manage your workload.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK and be able to demonstrate proof when requested.
