Part-time SENCO

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Part-time Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator to join our team at Recruited UK. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in promoting and supporting the progress and achievement of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) throughout the school.

• Manage learner support to ensure that the special educational needs of young people in custody are identified and assessed.
• Monitor planned support according to learners individual learning needs, removing any barriers to their progress.
• Work closely with teachers, support staff, and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective strategies to support students with SEN.
• Collaborate with external agencies and professionals to ensure that students receive the best possible support and guidance.

• Proven experience in working with students with SEN, preferably in a school setting.
• Strong knowledge of SEN legislation and policies, including the SEND Code of Practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the needs of the school.
