Role Overview
The Borough Council of Kings Lynn & West Norfolk seeks a skilled Waste and Recycling Adviser to join their team. This temporary position involves providing maternity cover and requires strong waste management experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the relationship between the Council and rural communities, promoting effective waste management options.
- Ensure the successful promotion and publication of the waste collection service.
- Collaborate on improving trade waste management.
- Communicate effectively with the public and provide expert advice on waste management.
Requirements
- GCSE level education or equivalent experience.
- Proven waste management experience, including scheduling work programmes and knowledge of Health and Safety requirements.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to advise the public in accurate spoken English.
Working Environment
The successful candidate will work in a busy office environment, planning their workload efficiently.
