Privacy Associate Job Description

Our client, a top-tier law firm, is seeking a skilled Privacy Associate to join their esteemed Privacy, Cybersecurity and Data Innovation Practice Group in London. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside leading practitioners and contribute to the firm's global data privacy, cybersecurity, and AI capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic counsel and advice on data privacy, technology, AI, and cybersecurity to clients
  • Support corporate functions with incident preparedness and response, ensuring seamless operations
  • Engage with regulators in the UK and EEA on behalf of clients, fostering strong relationships
  • Design and implement strategic global data privacy compliance programs, ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Advise companies on business strategies involving large-scale data use, mitigating risks
  • Mitigate cyber intrusions or data breaches, protecting client interests
Requirements:
  • 3-6 years PQE from a top-tier firm, with a strong background in data privacy and cybersecurity
  • Experience in advising on data strategies across various industry sectors, with a proven track record
  • Proven ability to engage with regulators in the UK and EEA, with a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks
  • Expertise in designing and implementing strategic global data privacy compliance programs, with a focus on innovation
  • Experience in mitigating cyber intrusions or data breaches, with a strong emphasis on risk management
