Job Title: Shift Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Shift Engineer to join our team at our Bala facility. As a Shift Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting the smooth operation of our factory by resolving breakdowns and delivering maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out all maintenance across the factory, ensuring that plant equipment and machinery are running efficiently and effectively.
  • Attend to breakdowns onsite, minimizing downtime and ensuring a rapid response.
  • Work in a clean and orderly manner, complying with our Hygiene Code of Practice.
  • Ensure all Health and Safety standards are met, and that all equipment complies with Company and legal standards.
  • Carry out repairs to plant and equipment during production, effectively and efficiently.
  • Manage Engineering time effectively, ensuring low Engineering downtime.
Requirements:
  • Multi-skilled with formal engineering qualification to NVQ Level 3 or higher, in an electrical or mechanical subject.
  • Possess 17th or 18th Edition Certification.
  • Proactive approach to fault finding, commitment to continuous improvement, and personal development.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Physically fit, with ability to stand for long periods, lift, and work at height.
  • Able to work 12-hour shift patterns, including days, nights, and weekends.
