About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Front End Developer to join our Design Team at Royal London Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our enterprise-wide Design System.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise to help teams design, develop, test and implement efficient front-end solutions.
  • Development and maintenance of Royal London's enterprise-wide Design System.
  • Support other multidisciplinary agile squads, collaborating with them to bring about the rapid adoption of the Design System amongst their products and the wider business.
  • Contributes to the development and delivery of Royal London's Design System, ensuring conformance with set standards including accessibility and select front end frameworks.
  • Ensure all code is thoroughly tested to meet our standards, guidelines, and quality gates for given technologies.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A strong understanding of web and accessibility standards.
  • Knowledge and experience of the Design System platform is essential.
  • An excellent understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
  • Deep technical knowledge of one or more programming languages.
  • Expert knowledge on HTML5, CSS, JS.
  • Familiar with UI and JS frameworks including Bootstrap, Material Design, Angular, Typescript.
