Security Officer Opportunity

About the Role

Vistech Services Ltd is seeking a reliable and vigilant Security Officer to join our team at a Council Depot in Meadowfield, Durham.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure the security and protection of the Customer's site.
  2. Manning of the gatehouse and patrolling of the site.
  3. CCTV Monitoring and protection of Council property.
  4. Checking documents and liaising with council staff.
  5. Deal with any incidents in a timely and professional manner.
  6. Report any incidents clearly and in a timely manner.
  7. Respond to and relay telephone calls.

Requirements:

  1. A welcoming and professional demeanour.
  2. Smart and well-presented individual.
  3. Conscientious and alert.
  4. Cheerful with a can-do attitude.
  5. Confident when dealing with people and outgoing.
  6. Confident in dealing with incidents calmly, following procedures in place.
  7. IT Literate.
  8. Confident when dealing with incoming phone calls.
  9. Able to gain accurate information and pass this on.
  10. Fluent in English.
  11. Good verbal and written communication skills.
  12. Follow assignment instructions to ensure protection of site.

Person Specification:

  1. Must have an SIA Licence.
  2. Driver with their own vehicle or ability to get to site location for an early start.
  3. Must have Emergency First Aid At Work and Defib qualification OR be willing to undertake the course in-house.

Working Hours:

  1. 12 hour shifts, including Days and Nights, including Most Weekends.
  2. Contracted to 40 hours per week, with holiday cover on-site required.

Location: Meadowfield, Durham

Salary: £11.55 per hour

Experience: Security: 1 year (preferred)

Language: English (required)

Licence/Certification:

  1. First Aid Certification (preferred)
  2. SIA Licence (required)
  3. Driving Licence (preferred)

Work Location: In person

Pay: £11.55 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
