About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Architect to join our team at LexisNexis Intellectual Property Solutions. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing software architectures that meet the technical and business needs of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Develop Software Architectures: Develop, design, and govern the overall structure, framework, and architecture of software applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives and scalability for future growth.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with stakeholders and development teams to gather and analyze requirements, understanding functional and non-functional needs to inform architectural decisions.
  • Evaluate and Select Technologies: Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, tools, frameworks, and methodologies best suited for the software's development, considering factors such as performance, security, and maintainability.
  • Define Coding Standards: Define and establish coding standards, architectural patterns, and best practices to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency across software development projects.
  • Document Architectural Decisions: Create comprehensive architectural documentation, including design specifications, diagrams, and guidelines, facilitating understanding and implementation for development teams.
Requirements
  • Software Engineering Experience: Have a decade of Software Engineering experience.
  • Cloud Experience: Have excellent Azure/AWS Cloud experience, as well as some cloud architecture experience.
  • Scalable Software Architectures: Experience in designing and creating scalable, maintainable, high-performing software architectures for complex applications.
  • Front-end Architectures: Demonstrate experience in designing and implementing front-end architectures and APIs, understanding RESTful and GraphQL principles, and integrating applications with various external services and APIs.
  • Architectural Patterns: Have a deep understanding and application of architectural patterns like MVC, MVVM, Microservices, Serverless, and others.
  • DevOps Principles: Experience with DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
  • Team Collaboration: Have experience in working closely with engineering teams, driving through engineering best practices as well as managing change through modernization.
