About the Role

As a key member of our team at ZipRecruiter, we are seeking an experienced Project Engineer/Coordinator to lead multi-discipline engineering teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting DIO Project Managers in managing consultants and contractors, working closely with BIM/CAD teams, and identifying project functional requirements and stakeholder needs.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the nuclear defence sector, particularly in replacement/refurbishment of plant and equipment to comply with modern standards. They will also possess strong technical skills, including leadership, project management, and risk assessment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead multi-discipline engineering teams
  • Support DIO Project Managers in managing consultants and contractors
  • Work closely with BIM/CAD teams
  • Identify project functional requirements and stakeholder needs
  • Elicit and develop user/system requirements
  • Develop work scopes
  • Manage engineering support to projects

Requirements:

  • Qualified to degree level in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline
  • Chartered Engineer status or able to attain chartered status (demonstration of continued professional development) or demonstrable experience as a Project Engineer (5 years) in a similar or highly regulated industry
