At South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Active Schools Manager to join our team. This exciting role will involve developing and managing the Active Schools programme within our organisation.

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience of managing teams who work with young people in education, sport, health and physical activity. They will be responsible for creating and implementing strategies to promote the aims and objectives of the Active Schools programme within a local government setting.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic and creative individual to make a positive impact on the lives of young people in South Lanarkshire. If you are passionate about promoting physical activity and have a proven track record of leadership and management, we would love to hear from you.

Salary: £48,000 - £49,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:
  • To develop and manage the Active Schools programme within South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture
  • To lead and motivate a team of staff who work with young people in education, sport, health and physical activity
  • To create and implement strategies to promote the aims and objectives of the Active Schools programme
  • To travel throughout South Lanarkshire and attend meetings and events as required
Requirements:
  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience of managing teams and leading projects
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
