Supply Chain / Procurement Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain / Procurement Specialist to join our client's Manufacturing and Distribution business in the Poole area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing suppliers, setting up new suppliers, and preparing information and reports for supplier reviews and negotiations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • End-to-end management of the purchase order process
  • Managing a portfolio of suppliers and updating systems with new supplier contracts
  • Monitoring and expediting purchase orders to maintain high service levels and SLAs
  • Capturing and reporting data on product and supplier performance, supplier contract reviews, and negotiations
  • Maintaining and setting up new products and relevant information onto internal systems and external websites
  • Regular liaison with suppliers to ensure accurate information on new product features, benefits, certifications, and other required data
  • Ensuring supplier partners provide purchase order acknowledgements and reviewing, challenging, or escalating any issues that arise
  • Regular liaison with internal teams, supply partners, and customers as required
  • Carrying out additional projects and administration as required

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Strong IT skills with confidence to adapt to multiple in-house systems and processes
  • Strong Excel skills, as you will be working with Excel on a daily basis
  • Organized and structured approach to work
  • Previous supply chain, product management, buying, or procurement experience is ideal
