About the Role

The Alzheimer's Society is a leading UK-based charity dedicated to supporting individuals with dementia and other forms of dementia. As the Associate Director of Digital and Data, you will play a pivotal role in leading the delivery of the Society's digital ambitions, driving digital transformation and data-driven success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive digital and data strategy aligned with our organisational goals, leveraging your experience in similar roles.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire teams of UX designers, product managers, and technical experts, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring the digital team aligns with the organisation's broader technology goals.
  • Possess a deep understanding of how technology integrates within a business context, effectively communicating with leadership and navigating the complexities of a charitable organisation's governance and funding processes.
  • Establish and manage a team to deliver on the digital strategy, setting up product management frameworks and leading cross-functional teams to ensure digital and data efforts are aligned and effective.
  • Understand how engineering and product management teams operate within an agile framework, working with suppliers and digital agencies to drive digital transformation effectively.
  • Develop robust business cases that align with our strategy and demonstrate the impact of digital transformation, engaging with stakeholders across directorates to secure buy-in and drive strategic initiatives.
Desired Experience
  • A proven track record in a similar role, such as Senior Product Manager, Programme Manager, or Head of Product within a digital or tech-driven environment.
  • Experience in leading organisation-wide digital transformation initiatives, particularly within the healthcare, charity, or integrated care services.
  • A strategic mindset, incorporating digital, data, and business strategy, and an ability to effectively communicate this vision with stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience working with engineering, product management, and digital teams.
  • Experience with governance processes and developing compelling business cases to secure funding and support for digital initiatives.
