Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Engineer to join our team at Vibe Recruit. As a key member of our engineering and maintenance department, you will be responsible for leading technical tasks, assisting with breakdowns, and supporting the day-to-day running of the maintenance department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the day-to-day maintenance of the site and assist the Engineering Manager with coordinating the safe and efficient operations of the site.
  • Carry out risk assessments of routine maintenance procedures and unplanned works.
  • Support shift engineers with day-to-day challenging tasks and look to resolve them in a timely, effective manner.
  • Assist with maintaining the stores and ensuring the correct critical spares are kept in stock.
  • Liaise with external contractors and ensure that all permit-to-work documents are completed to the required standard.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering, with experience in maintenance and repair. You should also have excellent problem-solving skills, be able to work well under pressure, and have a strong attention to detail.

Desirable Skills

Experience in plant bakery and food blending equipment would be desirable, but not essential. Training will be provided for DSEAR/COMPEX/ATEX.
