Our team is seeking a talented Corporate Performance Officer to join the CLD Standards Council, a professional body for community learning and development practitioners. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in gathering and using evidence to support the improvement of practice standards for CLD practitioners, inform decisions, and develop professional learning requirements.

About the Role

The Corporate Performance Officer will work closely with the Assistant Director and the Development Officer (Policy & Research) to support the implementation, monitoring, reviewing, and reporting of the strategic objectives, operating policies, and procedures for the organisation. This role will also involve leading on the gathering, collating, and publishing of the organisation's annual report, as well as implementing procedures and processes to capture and report on organisational activity and events.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Assistant Director with implementing, monitoring, reviewing, and reporting of the strategic objectives, operating policies, and procedures for the organisation.
  • Support the Assistant Director with corporate governance duties, preparation of reports for the Executive Committee, Education Scotland, Scottish Government, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead on the gathering, collating, and publishing of the organisation's annual report.
  • Lead on the implementation of procedures and processes to capture and report on organisational activity and events.
  • Provide support to the Development Officers and Committees to identify areas for improvement, improve the use of evidence-based reporting and data analysis.
  • Collect national data sources to develop a robust profile of the CLD workforce in Scotland.
  • Work with FE/HE institutions and the Approvals Committee to design and implement an annual process for capturing and reporting on student demographics.
  • Provide expert advice about the use of appropriate methodologies for undertaking evaluative studies/research, including providing advice about ethical considerations, Data Protection, and support for commissioned evaluation/research as required.
  • Provide specialist advice to the team and committees to develop internal capacity in gathering and using information to inform improvement and in undertaking effective evaluative studies/research, including the development of tools/guidance and the delivery of tailored training and coaching approaches.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong background knowledge and understanding of, and experience with, CLD professional practice, delivery, and the make-up of the CLD workforce.
  • Strong analytical skills using both qualitative and quantitative data, with a particular skillset in quantitative methods and analysis.
  • Ability to problem-solve, make decisions, and prioritise where there are time constraints.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write concisely and clearly for a range of different audiences.
