Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Michael Page. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving production equipment, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

About the Role

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for managing small projects, providing high-level troubleshooting support to maintenance supervisors, and developing maintenance budgets. You will also analyze maintenance costs to identify opportunities for improvement and perform engineering design calculations as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage small projects, either capital or expense
  • Resource for the maintenance supervisors regarding high-level troubleshooting
  • Play an active role in developing maintenance budgets
  • Analyze maintenance cost to find opportunities for improvement
  • Perform engineering design calculations as needed for maintenance team
  • Specialist resource to assist in the management of reactive maintenance repair issues
  • Develop SOW for the Reliability and Projects teams to investigate and execute longer-term remedies
  • Assist the Maintenance Coordinator in improving the execution of scheduled maintenance tasks
  • Skilled in diagnosing faults and repairing equipment
  • Revise and create maintenance procedures

Requirements

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Good knowledge of UK Health and Safety regulations
