Financial Services Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Services Officer to join our team in providing exceptional debt recovery services to our clients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the debts of creditors, ensuring timely payments are made while maintaining high-quality standards and customer satisfaction.
The successful candidate must be comfortable communicating clearly with various stakeholders, including NHS, Commercial, and Private Individuals. Proficiency in accounts receivable procedures, regulations, and reconciliation of accounts is essential.
Key Responsibilities- Raise debtor invoices/credit notes on receipt of requisitions from other departments, adhering to Trust's Standing Financial Instructions and internal office procedures.
- Notify debtors by letter, email, telephone call, or text of upcoming or outstanding invoices.
- Maintain monthly ledger reports to support resolution of all debts under query.
- Negotiate payment plans and settlements with debtors, including fixing terms and conditions.
- Maintain appropriate records in client accounts of interactions, such as payments, queries, or resolutions in place.
- Reply promptly to client questions and concerns received by telephone or via written communication.
- Responsible for recommending and preparing submissions for debt collection agencies for trace and against debtors who evade or refuse repayment according to the terms and conditions.
- Ensure account statements, invoices, and reminders are forwarded to clients each month, updating records when necessary.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a credit control role.
- Previous experience within an NHS Finance environment.
This is a permanent position with an estimated salary range of £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing, and have the ability to create and use spreadsheets, Microsoft Office packages, and financial packages.
