Job Title: Workshop Engineer Plant Equipment

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

CV Library has partnered with a well-established plant hire firm to support the growth of their team. Our client, who have been established for over 50 years, are looking to onboard & train engineers from either a plant, HGV, Automotive or Agricultural background. They offer a comprehensive training scheme alongside relative internal progression routes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose complex technical issues and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Offer training and support to clients' staff on machinery operation and maintenance best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with the in-house engineering team to provide feedback and improve product performance.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working in the Plant, Automotive, HGV or Agricultural industry (essential).
  • Previous experience working with hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical capabilities (essential).
  • Electrical and/or Mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience.
  • Relevant qualifications NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous).
Benefits:
  • 22 days Annual Leave + Public Holidays / Increasing by 1 day for every year of service (25 overall).
  • All overtime over 8 hours per day is paid at 1.5x (£21-£24 per hour).
  • A minimum of 5 hours of overtime available per week (average availability is 15-20 hours) Min (5 hours): Additional £5,460pa / Average (17 hours): Additional £18,564pa.
  • Salary Sacrifice Scheme for an additional 5 days annual leave per annum.
  • Full training & development with a focus on internal progression: (Workshop/Mobile Engineer > Lead Engineer > Hiring Manager > Site Manager > Regional Manager).
