Ambulance Paramedic Role

The Isle of Wight NHS Trust is seeking highly skilled paramedics to join our team in a full-time permanent role based at Newport Ambulance Station. As an ambulance paramedic, you will be responsible for responding to emergency calls and incidents using advanced driving skills.

To succeed in this role, you should have experience delivering high-quality patient-centered care in a pre-hospital environment, hold a current HCPC registration as a paramedic, and possess a C1 driving license.

Our competitive salary for this role is £37,338 to £44,962 per year, pro rata if part-time. You will also have access to flexible working arrangements, an onsite day nursery, cycle-to-work scheme, and discounts at local businesses and gyms.

About the Job:

  • To respond to emergency calls and incidents using advanced driving skills and manage emergencies, urgent calls, routine transfers, mainland transfers, and other operational details commensurate with your role and responsibilities.
  • To work either as part of an ambulance crew or as a solo responder.
  • To provide specialist, clinical, social, and holistic care to patients in a pre-hospital environment.
  • To formulate and deliver critical care plans and treatment for patients in accordance with agreed guidelines, trust/service policy, procedures, and current legislation.
