Electronics Manufacturing Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team at Major Recruitment Sunderland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver all elements of Manufacturing Engineering through the New Product Introduction process in line with company and product quality standards, including ISO 9001.
  • Design and implement robust manufacturing processes to ensure estimated product yield, quality, and labour times are achievable.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional design teams to champion and execute design for manufacturing from initial design concept through to product release.
  • Identify areas of improvement in processes with regards to quality, cost, and days to manufacture, and implement proactive and process-driven solutions.
  • Specify and procure new equipment in line with the demands of new products and manufacturing processes.
  • Contribute to resource estimates for new projects and manage time effectively across multiple NPI projects.
  • Design and input manufacturing routings using the MRP system, and develop detailed and accurate work instructions in CAD and written documents.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in a relevant field.
  • 2 years experience as a Manufacturing / Production Engineer within an Electronics or Electrical Manufacturing environment.
  • Practiced in root cause investigation and problem solving, including 8D.
  • Competent in Electronic fault finding and manufacturing tasks such as soldering and electrical wiring.
  • Strong knowledge of continuous improvement techniques, such as Lean Manufacturing.
