We are currently seeking a highly skilled Lead CDM Advisor to join our team on a major project located in Warrington.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Amentum Principal Designer (PD) Duty Holder on a major design and construction project, ensuring compliance with the requirements of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain oversight of the status and storage location of the Project CDM documentation required to demonstrate compliance against the legal obligations of PD.
- Coordinate the development and maintenance of the Project Health & Safety File, ensuring relevant information is obtained and included.
- Assist with the development of the Construction Phase Plan, ensuring inclusion of relevant pre-construction information.
- Manage and chair relevant PD communication and coordination meetings and workshops.
- Liaise with the client, other CDM duty holders, and other stakeholders as appropriate, to ensure that all risks are effectively managed.
- Review and appraise, when required, risk assessments, method statements, and related safety control documentation.
- Ensure CDM/PD related competency checks have been carried out on the relevant project and supply chain stakeholders and ensure competency status is managed.
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Amentum Project Technical Assurance Function Principal Designer Management & Oversight Manual.
- Relevant engineering degree or relevant H&S qualifications.
- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.
- Previous demonstrable experience in CDM and/or Principal Designer roles.
- At least 5 years experience of working in a highly regulated industry.
- Trained and/or qualified in HSE auditing with relevant auditing experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
