Strategic Land Planner

We are working with a leading privately owned house builder in Chelmsford to strengthen their team with an experienced planning manager.
The successful candidate will work closely with the rest of the team and report directly to the managing director, while collaborating with the head of land. The business is currently acquiring a significant amount of land and has several large strategic sites in the pipeline.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing the planning function and ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and within budget. You will have a good working knowledge of the operating region and be familiar with the current policies in place.
We are looking for a bright, articulate, and ambitious planner who wants to take control of the planning function and drive the business forward. The ideal candidate will have a degree in planning and be MRTPI qualified, with at least 6 years of post-graduation experience.
Key requirements include:
- Experience of handling planning applications in Hertfordshire and Chelmsford
- Detailed experience of large complex strategic land planning applications
- Detailed experience of 100 unit plus projects
- Director calibre and motivated to succeed
