Job Title: Field Service Technician

The Field Service Technician at WeldFit will work with our team to repair and operate pigging equipment. They will gain basic knowledge of pipeline pigging systems and field operations. The Technician must be able to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and diagrams. The Field Service Technician will report to the Field Services Manager.

Duties and Expectations:
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose customer equipment in a safe and timely manner with our team.
  • Commissioning of pigging systems to bring the pigging system into service and perform a field acceptance test (FAT) to ensure the system's performance.
  • Help to identify new opportunities for WeldFit to expand its current service offerings.
  • Ensure all customer issues are satisfactorily resolved utilizing engineering, manufacturing, and other teams as needed.
  • Oversee the in-field pipeline assembly and fabrication of temporary and permanent pigging facilities as required by the service agreement.
  • Provide training for customer operations personnel on launcher and receiving pigs, operation of the pigging system, and troubleshooting the pigging system.
  • Provide preventative maintenance on customer-owned launcher/receiver systems to maintain the operation and extend the service-life of the pigging system with our team.
  • Ensure maintenance of pipeline pigging equipment is completed and documented to develop pigging reports for customers.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
