Experience the thrill of working on high-end Superyacht tenders with Pascoe International, a renowned company in the industry. Our team is seeking an experienced Marine Engineer to join our ranks as part of our ongoing development plan.
We're looking for a skilled professional with a strong background in new-build marine engineering, both mechanical and electrical. As a Marine Engineer at Pascoe International, you'll be responsible for installing machinery and equipment, plumbing systems, and running and terminating electrical looms.
Your role will involve installation and setup of electronics, including CANbus control systems and NMEA networks, as well as commissioning of the completed vessel. We require flexibility and cross-trade understanding, making this a diverse role that can be tailored to suit either Mechanical Engineers or Electrical Engineers.
Role Responsibilities- Installation and commissioning of mechanical equipment on new build projects, including main machinery
- Installation and termination of wiring looms
- Setup and integration of CANbus control systems and NMEA2000 networks
- Installation and setup of hydraulic systems
- Problem-solving and fault diagnosis
- Leading a project, planning work on the vessel, checking information and stock, planning and meeting timescales
In addition to your technical skills, we're looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and diligent individuals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in related employment.
Requirements and Benefits- Proven experience in new build marine engineering, both mechanical and electrical
- Qualifications in marine engineering are a plus
- Familiarity with electronic injection marine diesel engines and drive installs (e.g. Yanmar / Volvo / Mercruiser / stern drives and water jets)
- Experience with CANbus distribution systems
- Knowledge of marine navigation equipment (e.g. Raymarine)
- Ability to work independently on a vessel engineering project – planning own work and checking stock and information
- Flexibility to work within set timescales and ability to follow instruction
Pascoe International offers a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
