Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Computing Finance Analyst to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our finance organization, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of cloud computing.

About the Role

The Cloud Computing Finance Analyst will be responsible for providing financial recommendations to regional AWS leadership, reporting weekly and monthly financial and operating metrics, managing the financial planning process, modeling, analyzing, and forecasting metrics that drive budgeting, forecasting, and business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide financial recommendations to regional AWS leadership
  • Report weekly and monthly financial and operating metrics
  • Manage the financial planning process
  • Model, analyze, and forecast metrics that drive budgeting, forecasting, and business decisions
  • Be an integral member in the monthly financial close process
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, or business, or a Bachelor's degree with experience in a quantitative role
  • Experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field
  • Experience designing and implementing controls or experience performing audits over financial reporting environments
  • Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
  • Experience creating process improvements with automation and analysis
  • Experience identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes
  • Experience working with stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications

Apart from the qualifications listed above, we would also like candidates with:

  • MBA or CPA
  • Knowledge of Tableau
  • Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
