Residential Conveyancing Head of Department

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Residential Conveyancing Head of Department to join our dynamic and thriving law firm in Somerset. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the residential conveyancing team, supporting and supervising less experienced colleagues, and ensuring the team meets their monthly targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the residential conveyancing team and ensure they are meeting their targets
  • Support and supervise less experienced colleagues and junior staff
  • Deal with any issues arising on a day-to-day basis
  • Ensure the team is kept up to date with best practice
  • Attend conferences and networking events
  • Be an ambassador for the firm's values and ethos
  • Involvement in business development
  • Handle your own caseload of residential conveyancing matters
Requirements:
  • 5 years PQE with solid experience of residential conveyancing
  • Previous experience in managing a team/department
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrable team working skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
