Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Design Manager to join our Building Engineering team in Cardiff. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Electrical Engineering team on a portfolio of projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality designs and technical solutions.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Electrical Engineer to take on a leadership role and contribute to the success of our team. You will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing the Electrical Engineering team to deliver projects from inception to completion
  • Providing technical leadership and guidance to team members
  • Developing and implementing technical strategies to improve project delivery and quality
  • Collaborating with other disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions
  • Managing budgets and resources to ensure project delivery within time and budget constraints

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Chartered Engineer status via an appropriate professional institution
  • Extensive experience in delivering projects within the building services environment
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with experience of managing staff at all levels
  • Excellent technical skills, with a strong understanding of electrical engineering systems and design principles
