Job Title: Medical Accounting Expert

We are seeking an experienced Medical Accounting Expert to join our accountancy firm, specializing in the healthcare sector. This role offers the flexibility to work remotely 80% of the time, with an initial in-office period of up to 6 months during probation.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the preparation of accounts for GP practices.
  • Prepare and submit:
    • Limited company accounts.
    • LLP accounts.
    • Partnership accounts.
    • Sole trader accounts.
  • Tax planning and pension planning for GPs, locum doctors, consultants in private practice, and other medical professionals.
  • Supervise and oversee the work of junior staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert advice on tax and accounting matters to clients in the medical sector.
Requirements:
  • ACA or ACCA qualification is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience working on GP accounts, with a strong understanding of the healthcare sector, particularly NHS operations and private healthcare income streams.
  • Must live within a 30-minute drive of Eltham.
  • Exceptional proficiency in accounting software, including Sage, Xero, and Iris.
  • Demonstrated ability to work remotely with high efficiency, alongside a willingness to work in-office for the initial probation period.
  • Excellent supervisory skills with experience in overseeing team members.
  • Strong communication skills, with the confidence to present and discuss financial matters with healthcare professionals.

The estimated salary for this role is around £70,000-£90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
